This amiable little guy befriended my daughter when she offered him a wineberry from our hedge. This common garden snail is a popular food item in some locations and they are produced commercially by snail farms. In suburban gardens, they are generally regarded as a pest. However, in our garden, they do not really represent a problem and we do not eat them 😜 They are too cute!
