GHOST ME? Is it me that you were calling out? What were you thinking of? Did you stop for one minute to think of the effect it would have on my life or, even worse, did you go through with it knowingly, spitefully, selfishly?
If you really were that lonely or that angry, why didn’t you just pick up the telephone and let me have it? No, of course not, that is not your style. You had to act out the drama queen scene, as usual, hoping to shock me.
Do you remember how we used to laugh at the morons out there that were likely to fall prey to scammers and stalkers? I thought that you were savvy about the dangers of life, that you would think twice before issuing a challenge such as this:
In,
search of skin,
color no matter,
brighter or darker,
tell no one,
I will take someone,
Ssssshhhhh!
– ghost, me!
So, in the end, you had your fifteen seconds of fame, after all. If only you can imagine the shock I felt when I first saw it on television and later read the horror story in the newspapers … I will never visit our special place at the lake again without thinking of you there, alone and helpless.
This challenge really had me stumped. I had to do some research. The Urban Dictionary 😊 provided me with the following clues:
- “ghost me” Kill me. Usually used to call someone out when you know they are just bluffing.
- “skin” Said when guys discuss how their time with a girl was if their time involved an unclothed woman.
Mass media, of course, refers to any of the means of communication, such as television or newspapers, that reach very large numbers of people
Here are the results of my effort to string together the picture, the word and the poem.
IBMC #06: The Mass Media Challenge
I am taking part in the Incredible Blogger Marathon Challenge (IBMC). Prakash Hegade is the event organiser. The IBMC is a series of ten diverse tasks, set to prove the versatility of the participants. Read all my responses to this series here.
{For the 6th challenge in this series] – You are given with a poem, picture and a word. You will combine all and write a post. All the three have to be interlinked in your post. They can be used in any context.

😄 Dankie Anne. Hierdie een was nogal moeilik.

Ek lees elke keer met groot oë! Hierdie keer sou ek defnitief nie kon deelneem nie.
HesterLeyNel
perdebytjie
Klink heeltemal te moeilik vir my…wegedaan, Hester!
HesterLeyNel
Ek leer egter geweldig baie.

ooo… I like this one. Glad to know about all the research carried out. The devices given were used well. I like the way how the poem was arrived. 🙂
HesterLeyNel
Thank for the compliment. It means a lot to me.

Oh wow! Well done, Hester. I’m a little useless these days. Slowly but surely… I’ll be back, reading your posts timely not months later. 😁
HesterLeyNel
That is the advantage of a blog – you can visit anytime 😊
