Lazy Sunday on the beach

The Secretary seems to have lost the password to This Dog’s blog, so we will have to camp out on hers for a while.

Today was one of those perfect beach days and I decided to take my pet humans for a walk at Ifafa Beach. We also wanted to pick up lamb chops and beer for a braai later in the afternoon. Very important, this last part.

Humans are often difficult to control and would you believe it? – once they started walking, they just kept on, all the way from Ifafa to Bazley Beach on the other side of the Fafa river. Yes, walking is good for their health (and mine, I suppose), but a Dog gets tired!

We stopped every now and then for a quick cooling down session in a rockpool and to have fresh water. The water in the sea is not very tasty; I gave up on drinking that pretty quickly. On the way back Sissy took pity and hoisted me onto her shoulder from where I enjoyed the scenery. I had a lovely swim in the river, but the water is a bit cold.

Now I am resting on the couch while my lunch is being prepared.

A peaceful and happy Sunday to all. Greetings. Genis.

  4. Such a shame Genis… your humans treating you so badly! I mean… I hope they got a few extra lamb chops just for you! Lightly singed on the braai… just to enhance the flavour! And beer in a bowl! I hope those humans cool the beer properly! πŸ˜‰
